[d]-tached record's first release of 2016 takes the form of a series of salvaged soundscapes from a doomed independent film project.

From a cold, dark town in the depths of northern Europe, Supersentient Intelligence Construct presents 12 works of meditative improvised electronics; analogue machinations for a decaying world. The film which this project was originally conceived for centered on a reclusive loner, lost and disengaged from society, but who finds a new way to connect with those around him. The narrative follows his awakening, a journey of self-discovery, and ultimately his failure to control his own dark impulses.

SIC's soundtrack is presented here in its original form, raw and unedited. All of the pieces that make up this work are freeform experimental sessions, all analogue recordings performed and captured live over loops of specific scenes from the movie. This process allowed SIC to capture the essence of each key moment through the protagonist's journey, in his inescapable descent into darkness. Each stage invites the listener to become hypnotised by relentless, transmuting tones, at times with a spacious warmth, but more frequently with a claustrophobic sense of dread. Atonal patterns lurch awkwardly and arhythmically, drawing you into the decaying mind state of the central character on a tragic spiral of metaphysical destruction.

This album is dedicated to the memory of Franck Emmeral.
