about

The Supersentient Intelligence Construct makes its return to [d]-tached records with a transfixing EP of modular soundwaves. A more lush and tranquil affair than the bleak, cinematic and at times downright noisy debut "Unravel". In contrast, "Transmission Vision" gently seeps its way into the mind of the listener with soft atmospheres and hypnotic, generative, delay-soaked melodies.

The graphic design for the EP is based upon that of Robert Leer's 1968 publication "Methods of transmission: Communication by psychical means and its impact on humanity". Leer was an researcher in the field of parapsychology in the 50s and 60s, who had links with the Society for Psychical Research and was briefly a collaborator with Alan Gould until a falling out over the direction of Robert's research led to the two parting company. Leer's work focused on the use of audio stimulus to promote higher levels of mental ability, concepts which SIC has interleaved within the soundwaves of the pieces presented here.

Digital version of this EP is offered as Pay What You Want. The free digital download consists of the mixed version of the EP tracks, assembled into one continuous piece. Paying customers will receive all the unmixed tracks plus an additional alternate take of Altostratus.

Having gone through a number of hibernation periods over the years, [d]-tached is now in a “third phase”, with a renewed focus on ultra-limited physical editions to complement digital releases. ... more
